Does Medicaid cover dentures in New Jersey?
NJ FamilyCare / New Jersey Medicaid: Complete and partial dentures are covered for beneficiaries (adult dental is part of the NJ FamilyCare benefit) with prior authorization, granted when evidence shows masticatory deficiencies likely to impair general health; prefabricated or temporary dentures are not reimbursable; PA factors include age, employment status, rehabilitative potential and medical status. No blanket adult exclusion; the rule text is the NJ Administrative Code dental services manual (N.J.A.C. 10:56).
