This is the South Carolina page of the practice finder: what the U.S. government’s NPI register (NPPES) lists across the 4 cities we cover — 33 denture specialists (each with a profile carrying the register record), 72 oral & maxillofacial surgeons and 462 registered dental organizations — plus the two state-level facts that matter before you call anyone: what South Carolina Medicaid pays, and where to verify a license.

Does Medicaid cover dentures in South Carolina?

Healthy Connections (South Carolina Medicaid): The general adult (21+) benefit is diagnostic, preventive, restorative, extractions and adjunctive services capped at $1,000 per state fiscal year - removable prosthodontics is NOT in that list, so dentures are not covered for typical adults. Dentures (removable prosthodontics) are covered only for under-21 members and for adults enrolled in the Intellectual Disability/Related Disabilities (ID/RD) waiver.

That summary is from the program’s own published wording, read September 28, 2026 — South Carolina’s row on the state-by-state table carries the quote, the source and its date.

Verify a South Carolina license

An NPI record is not proof of an active license — CMS says so itself. Every profile on this site links the South Carolina LLR license lookup (Board of Dentistry), and you can verify any South Carolina dental license there in about a minute. If what you find disagrees with a listing here, tell us.

How this list works

Everything on this page comes from one source: the federal NPI register (NPPES), read on September 29, 2026. It lists every provider in South Carolina whose register address matches, alphabetically. No one can pay to be added, removed or reordered, and there are no ratings or reviews here — we have not called or visited these practices.

Three caveats the register itself requires: an NPI number is not proof of an active license (verify one at the South Carolina license lookup), addresses are self-reported and can be stale, and a listing says nothing about quality. If you are listed here and something is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove the entry against the register.
